I entered Geekten 2022, a technology showcase for students organized by Supporterz, with Alnilam and won the Grand Prize in the Hardware & Embedded category.
Activity log
The exhibition booth at GeektenI entered in 2022 as “Orion Alnilam”, carrying the team name from my robot contest days. Where Science Castle the previous year had been a venue for research presentations, Geekten is a stage for presenting finished work to student engineers from across the country. On the day, I presented everything in one arc, from the story of the development to a live demonstration of the machine.
The judges' comment on Orion Alnilam introduced at the results announcement (excerpt)The response far exceeded what I had expected. Questions came one after another, from judges and from students on other teams, about the mechanism, the manufacturing process, and possible applications, and the feedback fed directly into later improvements and the direction of commercialization. The judges’ comment read: “If printed circuit boards become easier to get hold of and free to design, I am certain a revolution will follow. A wonderful invention.” They also praised the fact that the machine achieves via-hole processing and that the work was presented with clear comparisons to existing products.
